Sister Lucille Helps Those in Need in Milwaukee:
Sister Lucille volunteers every week at the St. Hyacinth Food Pantry, which serves two of the poorest neighborhoods in Milwaukee. She helps meet with clients to assess their needs, and in doing so, is often called upon to help with Spanish-speaking clients, as she is bilingual.
She also helps walk clients through the pantry, assists them in getting their food and supplies, and helps sort food, clothing, hygiene items and other basic necessities.
Sister Lucille also volunteers at the Inner Beauty Center in Milwaukee, where she meets with clients who are victims and survivors of sexual assault and human trafficking. She builds relationships with each woman to help her heal, listening to them and offering spiritual guidance.
Most of her volunteer time is spent one-to-one with clients; she also shares meals with small groups and sorts clothing and other donated items for the Center.
In addition, she volunteers at Campus Ministry at Marquette University. She meets with students during Retreats and offers spiritual guidance and friendship.
Thank you Sister Lucille for your dedicated ministry helping the poor and those in need!
